Ermineskin Edmonton Real Estate
The neighbourhood of Ermineskin is located in south west Edmonton, and is named after Chief Ermineskin of Hobbema. The majority of homes in Ermineskin were built between 1970 and 1990, according to the 2001 federal census. A total of 42.6% were built during the 1970s, and 30.5% were built during the 1980s, with just 19.7% built in the 1990s. Rented apartments and apartment-style condominiums are the most common types of homes in Ermineskin, according to the 2005 municipal census, and make up 66% of homes in the neighbourhood. Another 16% is comprised of single-family homes, and another 13% is comprised of row houses, with the last 5% being duplexes. Only 28% of homes in Ermineskin are owner-occupied, and other 72% are rented.
